Excel tutorial on 4 ways to join cells in Excel. We’ll look at how to use
Ampersand and CONCATENATE are both used in Excel to combine contents cells and are pretty much interchangeable. & is a calculation operator (kind of like other math symbols) and doesn’t require the use of parentheses.
CONCAT is the newer version of CONCATENATE and will very likely replace CONCATENATE in the coming years. CONCAT is also used to combine the contents of multiple cells into one, but can do so a bit easier and faster than CONCATENATE by allowing users to select a range rather than only 1 cell at a time.
