Excel tutorial on how to round time in Excel.

Excel has many rounding functions, but, we’ll use MROUND in this tutorial because I like how it’s able to round up or round down to whatever multiple we want to use.

There are many reasons why you may need to round time, but, a common use is to round time worked – like for payroll / timeclocks when you clock in and clock out.

In the examples in this tutorial, we’ll round to the nearest 15 minutes and then round to the nearest hour. But you can still use the methods from this tutorial to round time to other increments – like to the nearest half hour, 5 minutes, etc
